LANGUAGE & CULTURE CAMP

Enrolling in one of our camp programs allows students the opportunity to supplement their English language education, live with an American family, and make new friends. Many students use our camps as a chance to build confidence toward making the jump to a future foreign educational goal.

CAMP INFORMATION

During this one-week program, students learn and practice the English language through an immersive American experience. Students attend a local American school in the morning and tour San Diego in the afternoon.

7 Days. Ages 6–18.

Ages 6–12 require one chaperone or parent per three students.

Schools: Horizon Christian Academy (6–18), The Rock Academy (6–18), Mater Dei Catholic School (13–18), Christian Unified School (6–18), ESL School (13+), San Diego State University (Summer, 13–18).

Students continue to attend their school where they practice English, learn about American culture, and make friends.

1  Transfer from Los Angeles

Students are picked up from the Los Angeles airport (LAX) and transported by shuttle to their homestay families in San Diego.

Students continue to attend their school where they practice English, learn about American culture, and make friends.

10  La Jolla Cove

La Jolla Cove is famous for its scenic clifs, caves, and tidepools.

2  Homestay Introduction

Students are introduced to their homestay families and have a chance to unpack and settle in to their living arrangements.

6  Balboa Park / Museums

Inside the 1200-acre park, structures were built with a European Spanish style. The historical park ofers various attractions, museums, and destinations.

11  Downtown La Jolla

This world-famous town is known for its world-class restaurants, shopping, and scenic views of the coast.

14  Homestay Goodbye

Students prepare to leave San Diego and say goodbye to their homestay families.

4  Downtown San Diego Tour

Tour of downtown San Diego, known as America’s finest city. Visit attractions such as seaport village and the USS Midway.

8  Visit UCSD

Ranked 7th among public universities, UCSD is famous for its engineering, medical, science, management science and international relations programs.

13  Graduation Celebration

Congratulations! Students have a party and dinner to celebrate the completion of their school programs.

3  First Day of School

Students tour their school, settle in to classes, and meet their teachers and classmates.

Students continue to attend their school where they practice English, learn about American culture, and make friends.

12  School Graduation

Students finish their school coursework and say goodbye to their school and teachers.
